As a professional independent celebrant, I’ll get to know you and understand your story. I’ll transform your ideas and vision into a personalised, heartfelt and memorable wedding ceremony. Most importantly, the ceremony will be your way, whether that’s outdoor, small and low key, full of music, or based on a theme.
How we make it happen:
Step 1:
We arrange a call so you can share a little about yourselves. How did you meet? Why are you marrying? What are your likes? How do you want your ceremony to feel? We discuss your ideas and I’ll answer any of your questions.
Step 2:
If you believe I'm the right celebrant for you and can give you the special day you want, then great, book me and we'll get to work.
Step 3:
We go into the details. You'll tell me if you want your family, friends or pets involved in the ceremony, what music do you want and when do you want it played. You decide whether you want to add any meaningful elements to your ceremony. How about a wine ceremony, planting a tree, sealing mementoes in a box? There are many others and you may have your own ideas.
Step 4:
I'll create the script interweaving your story throughout the ceremony for you to review and add to. You’ll want to choose your own commitment to say your “I do” to and write your own vows I’m sure, but I can give you some prompts and suggestions as needed.
Step 5:
You choose where you want your ceremony. Being based in the peak District means I can help suggest some beautiful outdoor or rustic settings if this place is as special to you as it is to me. I’m equally happy to travel to Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Greater Manchester and Staffordshire.
Step 6:
We’ll do a run through of what will happen during the ceremony so you know what to expect, can relax and really enjoy your special day. We can do a full rehearsal if you prefer.
Step 7:
Currently, if you want to legalise your marriage, you need to attend a registry office for the formal wording. It’s quick, you can do it before or after your actual ceremony and I will explain how you do it.
Step 8:
Your big day arrives and I’ll be there to lead you calmly through the ceremony, telling your unique story and celebrating your love and commitment to each other, whichever way you choose to celebrate your magical day.
